Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups wheat flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 2 cups barley
- 1 cup coconut (optional)
- 2 cups chocolate chips (1/2 regular and 1/2 colored or is nice)
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup raisins
- 3 -4 tablespoons molasses
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 extra large eggs
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate juice
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup cut up fig
Recipe
- 1 mix together:. 2 1/2 cups wheat flour. 2 cups sugar. 1 teaspoons baking soda. 1/2 teaspoons salt. 1 tablespoons vanilla sugar. 2 cups barley flakes. 1 cup coconut (optional). 2 cups chocolate chips (1/2 regular and 1/2 colored or is nice). 1 cup sliced almonds. 1 cup raisins.
- 2 add:. 3-4 tablespoons molasses. 3/4 cup vegetable oil. 1/4 cup olive oil. 3 extra large eggs. 1 tbsp pomegranate juice. 1/2 cup chopped dates. 1/2 cup cut up figs. mix well and pour into greased pan or pans.
- 3 bake at 350 degrees f. (185 degrees c.) 25-30 minutes or until done. they should be chewy, not hard. cut in squares. enjoy!
