Swedish Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
Recipe
- 1 in a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- 2 add maple syrup; mix well.
- 3 combine the flour and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- 4 divide the dough into eight portions; roll each portion into a 9-inch log.
- 5 place 3-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
- 6 bake at 300°f for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 7 cut into 1-inch slices (i use a pizza cutter and go through all on a sheet at once).
- 8 remove to wire racks to cool.
- 9 dust with confectioners' sugar.
