Zesty Sausage Squares (appetizer)

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb zesty hot sausage roll (bob evans)
  • 1 lb velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons oregano (or to taste)
  • 1 loaf rye cocktail bread (pepperage farms light party rye)

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in medium skillet, brown ground beef and sausage together. drain off any grease
  • 3 melt velveta cheese in mixing bowl in microwave.
  • 4 add browned ground beef, sausage, worcestershire sauce and oregano to melted cheese and mix well.
  • 5 on a cookie sheet or baking stone, arrange pieces of bread.
  • 6 scoop mixture (about 1 tablespoon) onto each piece of bread.
  • 7 bake for 10 minutes. if frozen, bake for 20 minutes.
