Walnut Thumbprints

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Recipe
- 1 in mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. beat in egg & vanilla.
- 2 combine dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- 3 refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 4 roll into 1-inch balls.
- 5 place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheets.
- 6 using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each ball.
- 7 combine filling ingredients.
- 8 spoon about 1 teaspoonful into each cookie.
- 9 bake at 350 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 10 cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks.
