Scrumptious Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400*.
- 2 cream together butter, shortening, sugar, egg and the vanilla. blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
- 3 mix the sugar and cinnamon for the rolling mixture in a small bowl.
- 4 shape rounded spoonfuls of dough into balls and roll the balls in the mixture. place two inches apart on un-greased baking sheets.
- 5 bake 8-10 minutes or until set but do not over bake!
- 6 remove from cookie sheets and cool on rack. store in airtight container as soon as they are at room temperature.
