Rogene's Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 3/4 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Recipe

• 1 mix shortening, butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly.
• 2 add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
• 3 shape in 1 inch balls.
• 4 roll into a mixture of 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon.
• 5 place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
• 6 bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
