St. Nikolaas Koekjes - Santa Claus Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 4 cups flour, sifted
• 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon clove
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

• 1 cream butter with sugar.
• 2 sift dry ingredients together and add alternatively with the sour cream to the creamed mixture.
• 3 add nuts.
• 4 knead together well; shape into a loaf, wrap in waxed paper and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
• 5 preheat oven to 400°f.
• 6 slice and bake approximately 8 minutes until lightly browned.
