Wendy's Peanuts

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 dash vanilla
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 3 cups raw peanuts, nut house virginia raw peanuts
  • salt, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325-350 degrees.
  • 2 in a large black (iron) skillet, over medium heat, pour in water and sugar. stir to mix.
  • 3 add in vanilla and cinnamon.
  • 4 pour in peanuts and mix together in the sugar water mixture.
  • 5 make sure all the peanuts are wet and coated in the mixture.
  • 6 bring water mixture to a boil stirring occasionally.
  • 7 as water begins to evaporate watch the nuts carefully.
  • 8 critical: as water is evaporating stir nuts and once there is no more water left and the nuts are dry pour onto a cookie sheet.
  • 9 sprinkle with salt over the top and bake for approximately 10 minutes.
  • 10 stir nuts then bake 10 more minutes.
  • 11 pour onto cool tray and let the nuts cool down.
  • 12 enjoy.
  • 13 these store really well in ziploc bags and are good to ship as gifts.
