Ingredients

- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup sorghum
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 cup lard
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cardamom
- 1 teaspoon anise
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 5 cups flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup almonds, ground
Recipe

- 2 make dough stiff to roll out the next morning.
- 3 cut oblong but not too large.
- 4 bake in moderate oven 15 minutes or so @ 375 degrees .
- 5 when coo,l frost with almond bark.
- 6 dough keeps 2 weeks in fridge.
