Triple-whammy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time: 1 hr 42 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate morsels, divided
  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 combine unsweetened chocolate, 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate morsels and the espresso granules in a heavy saucepan.
  • 2 cook over low heat, stirring, until chocolate melts.
  • 3 cool.
  • 4 beat butter and sugar at medium speed until creamy.
  • 5 add eggs and vanilla and beat well.

  • 11 place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass or use a cookie stamp (dip in flour to prevent sticking).
