Special Sprinkle Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups butter or 1 1/4 cups margarine
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 3 cups rolled oats

Recipe

• 1 heat oven to 375 degrees.
• 2 beat together butter or margarine and sugars until fluffy.
• 3 beat in egg and vanila.
• 4 combine dry ingredients and add to margarine mixture.
• 5 mix well.
• 6 stir in oatmeal.
• 7 roll into balls and then in colored sugar sprinkles.
• 8 bake for 10-11 minutes for crispy cookies or 8-9 minutes for chewy cookies.
• 9 cool and store in covered container.
