Triple Chocolate Shortbread Sticks

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chocolate sprinkles
Recipe
- 1 combine the flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder; set aside.
- 2 cream the butter and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium-low speed until fluffy.
- 3 gradually stir in the flour mixture until well blended.
- 4 cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
- 5 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 6 shape dough into 1" balls; shape balls into 2" logs about 1/2" thick.
- 7 space 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- 8 bake for 12 minutes, or until set.
- 9 cool on cookie sheets for 2 minutes; transfer cookies to wire racks and cool completely.
- 10 melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan over very low heat, stirring, until smooth.
- 11 place the sprinkles in a small bowl.
- 12 dip each end of the cooled cookies into the chocolate, then the sprinkles.
- 13 return to the wire racks and let stand until the chocolate has set, about 25 minutes.
