Chocolate Macadamia Pumpkin Bars

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 combine first four ingredients in bowl.
  • 3 in seperate bowl beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar; until creamy.
  • 4 mix in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla; until blended.
  • 5 gradually beat in flour mixture, then ad nuts and mix well.
  • 6 spread mixture into buttered baking dish.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees until center sets. about 30 minutes.
  • 8 drizzle with melted chocolate and let cool.
  • 9 i like to melt my chocolate in a glass in boiling water (stiring frequently) it also works well if you melt it in a zip lock bag in the micro-wave, kneading every 30 seconds after the first minute. then you just cut the corner off the bag and squeeze it out.
