Chocolate Macadamia Pumpkin Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 combine first four ingredients in bowl.
- 3 in seperate bowl beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar; until creamy.
- 4 mix in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla; until blended.
- 5 gradually beat in flour mixture, then ad nuts and mix well.
- 6 spread mixture into buttered baking dish.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees until center sets. about 30 minutes.
- 8 drizzle with melted chocolate and let cool.
- 9 i like to melt my chocolate in a glass in boiling water (stiring frequently) it also works well if you melt it in a zip lock bag in the micro-wave, kneading every 30 seconds after the first minute. then you just cut the corner off the bag and squeeze it out.
