Chocolate Macadamia Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 250 g chocolate, chopped or 250 g chocolate chips
  • 200 g macadamia nuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 190 degrees celsius.
  • 2 in a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  • 3 stir in the egg and vanilla.
  • 4 combine the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture.
  • 5 finally, stir in the chocolate and nuts.
  • 6 drop cookies by heaping teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking tray, about 5 cm apart.
  • 7 bake for 8 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned.
  • 8 cool on wire racks. when cool, store in an airtight container.
