Chocolate Macadamia Cookies

Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 1/4 cups plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 250 g chocolate, chopped or 250 g chocolate chips
- 200 g macadamia nuts, chopped
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 190 degrees celsius.
- 2 in a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- 3 stir in the egg and vanilla.
- 4 combine the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture.
- 5 finally, stir in the chocolate and nuts.
- 6 drop cookies by heaping teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking tray, about 5 cm apart.
- 7 bake for 8 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned.
- 8 cool on wire racks. when cool, store in an airtight container.
