Vegetarian Snausage Rolls

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 vegetarian sausage links
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1/3 1% low-fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon dill
  • 1 -2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle pepper
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 puff pastry sheets

Recipe

  • 1 run the breakfast links through a food processor until they resemble ground meat.
  • 2 chop the onion in food processor till slightly courser then the sausages.
  • 3 mix in the rest of the filling ingredients, add a little more milk to make it stick together if needed.
  • 4 preheat oven to 375f.
  • 5 divide the filling in half and form into 1" lines along the length of each sheet of pastry about 1 1/2" from the long edge. roll tightly around the filling.
  • 6 cut each roll into 4 with a serrated knife and place at least 1/2" away from each other on a cookie sheet lined with the parchment paper the pastry comes in.
  • 7 bake for 20-30 min until puffed and golden on top.
