The Neely's Caprese Tart

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • flour
  • egg wash
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
  • 2 roll out the puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle less than 1/4-inch thick. place on top of a cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper. brush dough with egg wash. bake for 10 minutes.
  • 3 cover baked dough with pesto. add sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on top. bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
