Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temp
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
- 2 mix the flour, baking soda, and salt into medium bowl.
- 3 in a seperate large bowl, beat together shortening and butter.
- 4 add sugars to shortening mix, and continue beating until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- 5 add eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon to shortening mix, continue to beat until well mixed.
- 6 add dry ingredients into shortening and mix until smooth.
- 7 mix chips in with dough until well dispersed
- 8 use a tablespoon to drop dough onto a cookie sheet.
- 9 let bake for 14-18 minutes or until light golden brown on top (cooking time depends on size of cookies).
