Super Soft Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 cream together sugar and butter.
- 2 add the beaten eggs and vanilla.
- 3 sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and nutmeg.
- 4 add to the first four ingredients.
- 5 let the dough chill for 2 hours.
- 6 preheat oven to 425.
- 7 roll out dough on lightly floured surface and cut the cookies about 1/2 inch thick.
- 8 try not to add too much flour to them it will ruin the texture of the cookies.
- 9 bake for 8 minutes.
- 10 let cool, then frost with any frosting you would like.
