Super Soft Sugar Cookies

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 cream together sugar and butter.
  • 2 add the beaten eggs and vanilla.
  • 3 sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and nutmeg.
  • 4 add to the first four ingredients.
  • 5 let the dough chill for 2 hours.
  • 6 preheat oven to 425.
  • 7 roll out dough on lightly floured surface and cut the cookies about 1/2 inch thick.
  • 8 try not to add too much flour to them it will ruin the texture of the cookies.
  • 9 bake for 8 minutes.
  • 10 let cool, then frost with any frosting you would like.
