Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 mix together the sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in a large bowl.
  • 3 stir in flour, baking soda and salt - the dough will be stiff.
  • 4 stir in chocolate chips.
  • 5 drop dough by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 6 bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). - do not overbake.
  • 7 cool slightly then remove cookies to cool on a wire rack.
