Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 mix together the sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in a large bowl.
- 3 stir in flour, baking soda and salt - the dough will be stiff.
- 4 stir in chocolate chips.
- 5 drop dough by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- 6 bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). - do not overbake.
- 7 cool slightly then remove cookies to cool on a wire rack.
