Sugar Cookies With Frosting

Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 16 ounces powdered sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- food coloring
Recipe
- 1 sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- 2 beat the butter until fluffy. add the sugar and beat until well incorporated. add the eggs and vanilla and slowly add the flour mixture. refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- 3 roll out the cookies on a well floured surface to your desired thickness and cut out with cookie cutters.
- 4 bake at 400 for 5-8 minutes. cool and frost.
- 5 for frosting, mix all ingredients, if too thick you may add a little water to thin out. separate into bowls and add food coloring if you prefer. the frosting will harden so you can stack them later.
