Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/8 tablespoons milk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cups macadamia nuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325°f.
  • 2 in a food processor turn the oats into powder. in a mixing bowl sift together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • 3 in a large bowl beat the butter until fluffy and gradually beat in both types of sugar; then slowly beat in egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract.
  • 4 gradually beat into the butter mixture the dry flour mixture untill well combined. stir in chocolate and nuts.
  • 5 drop by spoonful on well greased or parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 12-17 minutes.
