Vegetarian Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) carton fat-free cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup romano cheese
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

Recipe

  • 1 drain the cottage cheese in a cloth or coffee filter lined strainer.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • 3 grease a cookie sheet.
  • 4 in a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • 5 form into 35 balls, 1 heaping tbsp each.
  • 6 bake for 30 minutes.
