Two Chocolate-chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans (chopped and toasted)
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • 3 in another bowl, beat together the butter and both the sugars until the mixture is light in texture.
  • 4 beat in the whole egg and egg yolk.
  • 5 add the maple syrup and the vanilla.
  • 6 gradually add the flour mixture, beating just until smooth.
  • 7 fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • 8 cover and refrigerate until cold, 2-6 hours. ??.
  • 9 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 10 scoop 1 tablespoon of the chilled dough onto baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart. ??.
  • 11 bake until the cookies are lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
