Spiced Pecans

Ingredients
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 extra large egg whites
- 1 teaspoon water
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 225. butter a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 1-inch cookie pan; set aside.
- 2 in a small mixing bowl, place the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; stir to combine; set aside.
- 3 in a medium mixing bowl, place the egg and water; using an electric mixer, beat on high speed until frothy; but not stiff. add the pecans; using a spoon, stir until completely coated. add the cinnamon mixture; stir until throroughly mixed.
- 4 spread the pecans on the prepared cookie pan. bake for 1 hour, using a large spatula to turn the pecans every 15 minutes.
- 5 remove from the oven and turn the pecans once more. place the cookie pan on a wire rack. let the pecans stand until completely cool.
- 6 then store the spice pecans in an airtight container.
