Strawberry Jam Bars

Ingredients
- 18 1/4 ounces cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 cup corn flakes, finely crushed
- 1 cup strawberry jam
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease 13 x 9 pan.
- 3 in a mixing bowl cream butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- 4 add egg and mix well.
- 5 gradually add in cake mix and crushed cornflakes.
- 6 set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping.
- 7 press remaining mixture into prepared pan.
- 8 carefully spread jam over crust(i microwaved the jam to make it easier to spread).
- 9 sprinkle with remaining dough.
- 10 gently press down.
- 11 bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 12 cool completely.
- 13 cut into bars.
