Strawberry Jam Bars

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 18 1/4 ounces cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup corn flakes, finely crushed
  • 1 cup strawberry jam

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease 13 x 9 pan.
  • 3 in a mixing bowl cream butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • 4 add egg and mix well.
  • 5 gradually add in cake mix and crushed cornflakes.
  • 6 set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping.
  • 7 press remaining mixture into prepared pan.
  • 8 carefully spread jam over crust(i microwaved the jam to make it easier to spread).
  • 9 sprinkle with remaining dough.
  • 10 gently press down.
  • 11 bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 12 cool completely.
  • 13 cut into bars.
