Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Brownie Cookies

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate, chunks or 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees. combine shortening, brown sugar, water, and vanilla.
- 2 beat eggs into creamed mixture.
- 3 combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- 4 mix into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended.
- 5 stir in chocolate and nuts.
- 6 drop rounded tablespoonfuls of the dough 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- 7 bake 1 baking sheet at a time for 7-9 minutes., or until cookies are set.
- 8 do not overbake.
- 9 cool for 2 minutes on a baking sheet.
- 10 place sheets of foil on countertop.
- 11 remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
