Taku Glacier Lodge Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger, plus
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon clove
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- raw sugar
Recipe
- 1 space oven racks evenly; preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 cream butter and sugars together until fluffy.
- 3 beat in eggs and molasses.
- 4 mix flour, baking soda, spices and salt; add to above, just until blended.
- 5 using a small ice cream scoop, form walnut sized dough and dip into raw sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet with sugar side up.
- 6 bake 10-12 minutes for softer cookies, longer for crispier cookies; cookies will crack on top.
- 7 excellent served warm!
