Wholesome Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (all-purpose may be substituted)
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2-3/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional)
- 1/2-3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
Recipe
- 1 cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, honey, egg, vanilla.
- 2 sift together dry ingredients and then blend into creamed mixture.
- 3 stir in nuts and chocolate chips, if desired.
- 4 spoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- 5 bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly brown; do not overbake.
- 6 cool slightly; remove and place on rack to cool.
