Whole Wheat And Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened (or margarine)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup wheat germ, toasted
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2 thoroughly cream butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
- 3 mix together the dry ingredients, except the wheat germ.
- 4 blend the dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
- 5 shape into 1 inch balls; roll in wheat germ.
- 6 place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- 7 flatten in crisscross pattern with a fork.
- 8 bake for 10-12 minutes.
- 9 cool slightly.
- 10 remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
