Whole Wheat And Peanut Butter Cookies

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (or margarine)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 thoroughly cream butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
  • 3 mix together the dry ingredients, except the wheat germ.
  • 4 blend the dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
  • 5 shape into 1 inch balls; roll in wheat germ.
  • 6 place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 7 flatten in crisscross pattern with a fork.
  • 8 bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • 9 cool slightly.
  • 10 remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
