Sunflower Seed Rolls

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups rye flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 teaspoons yeast
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 2/3 cups water, divided
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 4 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 4 tablespoons flax seeds, soaked overnight
Recipe
- 1 mix flours and salt together.
- 2 proof yeast with honey in 1/4 cup warm water.
- 3 add the yeast and the rest of the water to flour.
- 4 knead for 10 minutes.
- 5 knead in the seeds.
- 6 let rise until doubled; cover with damp cloth; put in greased bowl; punch down; shape into 12 buns.
- 7 brush tops with water.
- 8 place on a greased cookie sheet .
- 9 slice tops, cover, and let rise.
- 10 brush tops with milk.
- 11 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 minutes or golden brown; the higher the temperature, the crispier the crust.
