Yummy Caramel Cake Bars

Ingredients

• 1 package german chocolate cake mix
• 3/4 cup butter, melted
• 2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
• 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
• 1 cup chopped nuts
• 1 egg
• 1 (50 count) package caramels

Recipe

• 1 set oven to 350 degrees.
• 2 grease a 13x9-in baking pan.
• 3 mix 1/2 of the cake mix with 1 egg, melted butter, and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk.
• 4 spread into bottom of prepared baking dish.
• 5 bake for 6 minutes.
• 6 remove from oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over top.
• 7 melt the caramels with remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk; drizzle over chips and nuts.
• 8 crumble and pat the remaining dry cake mix over the top.
• 9 bake for another 20 minutes.
• 10 cool, cut into bars.
