Chocolate Brownie Bits

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped, toasted (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f gease and line an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, overlapping 2 sides for easy removal.
  • 2 melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. stir until combined. cool.
  • 3 beat eggs, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl. add cooled chocolate mixture. mix until blended.
  • 4 combine next 4 ingredients and stir into batter. stir in pecans.
  • 5 spread batter in prepared pan. bake in preheated oven 25-30 minutes, or until firm on the outside but moist inside.
  • 6 cool in pan. loosen brownies from sides of pan and lift out using overhanging parchment paper as handles. cut into squares.
  • 7 tip: add 1/2 cup chopped chocolate with the pecans.
