Chocolate Brownie Bits

Ingredients
- 6 ounces chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped, toasted (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f gease and line an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, overlapping 2 sides for easy removal.
- 2 melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. stir until combined. cool.
- 3 beat eggs, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl. add cooled chocolate mixture. mix until blended.
- 4 combine next 4 ingredients and stir into batter. stir in pecans.
- 5 spread batter in prepared pan. bake in preheated oven 25-30 minutes, or until firm on the outside but moist inside.
- 6 cool in pan. loosen brownies from sides of pan and lift out using overhanging parchment paper as handles. cut into squares.
- 7 tip: add 1/2 cup chopped chocolate with the pecans.
