Toronto Star Monster Cookies

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats (i use quick cooking oats)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar until fluffy in a large bowl.
  • 2 beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt, stir to combine.
  • 4 add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture stirring by hand until well blended.
  • 5 add chocolate chips, raisins and walnuts, stir to combine.
  • 6 on a greased sheet, drop 1 1/2 - 2" apart. flatten cookie with the bottom of a floured glass.
  • 7 bake at 300f for 15-18 minutes.
  • 8 cool one minute on baking sheet, then transfer to cooling rack.
