Spice Bars

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 3/4 cup flaked coconut
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350*. base - combine butter and flour, mixing well. spread in a 8" pan. bake 12-15 minutes, until firm. remove from oven.
- 2 filling - combine eggs, brown sugar, spices, baking powder, salt, vanilla and flour. stir in the walnuts and coconut. spread over base.
- 3 bake @ 350* for 25-30 minutes, until golden and firm. cut into 1" x 2" bars.
